About the project:
Dynamic and engaging this artwork celebrates the extraordinary connections and real life parallels between Samuel Augustus Perry’s application of Greek mythology in the naming of Mt Parnassus and actual events in Gundagai. ‘Two Worlds’ symbolises the community’s strong connection to place and rich history, drawing inspiration from the life of Perry, the Great Flood of 1852 and the central idea of ‘two worlds colliding through time and space’.
